What is a Squarespace Template? and Who is it for? + Debunking Myths about Designer Templates!

HH Squarespace Blog Post 20

I know the number one place we go when we search for inspiration is Pinterest. Maybe while coming up with a mood board for your website, you came across Squarespace templates. You can now see tons of beautiful premade website templates made by designers (like me!).

Now, I think you’re wondering what Squarespace templates are? Do I need to buy one? Is it for me? Is this impulsive buying?!

Okay, so don’t panic yet! Because I’m here again to clear all confusion regarding Squarespace templates and all in-betweens.

So yay! Let’s get into it.

But before, let me walk you through what website templates are.

Basically, a website template (or web template) is a pre-designed webpage that anyone can use to build a website by "plugging in" their own text content and images. Web builders like Wix, Weebly, WordPress, and of course Squarespace have their own predesigned templates that you can get by creating an account. You can also purchase from website designers to build a template designed especially for your brand.

You can read my blog about All you need to know about Squarespace 7.0 vs. 7.1 to know more about Squarespace.

Squarespace has tons of beautiful templates.

Each part of the template is fully customizable, from the place of your logo to the color of your footer, everything! However, they can look similar to each other. These templates’ main goal is for you to put all your creative energy into personalizing your own website. But that can be quite overwhelming since there is a lot to know in customizing your website’s bits and pieces. This is why many people opt to purchase pre-designed Squarespace templates to ease the burden of thinking about how they can make their website exceptionally beautiful.

For this reason, we decided to make a start-up company focusing on building Squarespace templates to help other people setting up their website.

If you are interested, you can check below some of our pre-made templates:

WHAT WILL I GET WHEN I PURCHASE ONE?

It depends on the designer, but we have various plans carefully crafted for each person’s specific needs. Not only will one get a template, but we also give a crash course about Squarespace, domain connection, 3-month support, and SEO optimization. Of course, you won’t need to learn the coding language (yay!) because the designers are the ones who will provide all the coding needs of your website.
